Cars grab in blitz on drivers
THREE cars and a moped were seized during an operation targeting uninsured drivers in Finsbury Park last week.
The clampdown was part of Operation Rockrose, a four-month blitz on anti-social behaviour and crime in Blackstock Road. The drivers of seven taxis without licence badges will receive warnings, four drivers were caught without insurance, one for failing to wear a seatbelt and a man was arrested for possession of drugs.
Court bailiffs recovered £4,500 in outstanding fines. Police, the council, Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, Department for Work and Pensions and London Fire Brigade also took part.
