Groups share £40,000 payout
FILM projects for young people, activities for the elderly and a study of Islington’s gay heritage will receive a share of a £40,000 grants handout.
The Friends of Paradise Park were awarded £1,600 from the Town Hall’s west area community chest to stage a fun day. Other organisations to receive grants include Angel Shed, All Saints Church, African Youth Development Centre and Shooting Stars football club. Labour councillor Mouna Hamitouche said: “I am pleased we are making a difference for these groups.”
More grants will be handed out in December.
