Chapel’s Christmas fayre raises money for the homeless
SANTA dropped into town last week to make an appearance at the Union Chapel’s Christmas Fayre.
Hundreds of locals flocked to the chapel in Compton Terrace, Angel, on Saturday to snap up home-made treats, seasonal crafts and bric-a-brac that was on offer.
There was even a free lunchtime concert, hosted by The Arctic Circle. Music came courtesy of indie outfit Paper Plane and The Slow Life, who headlined.
Peter Stapleton, the chapel’s project manager, said: “The fayre was a big success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed
the live music.”
All money raised from the café will go to Margins, Union Chapel’s homelessness project.
