Hospital’s new boss
MOORFIELDS Eye Hospital has appointed a new chief executive. John Pelly will succeed Ian Balmer, who has been appointed chief executive of the Royal Society of Medicine after 15 years at the helm of the world-famous hospital in City Road.
Mr Pelly will take over the top job in April when he leaves his current post at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich. He said: “Moorfields is one of the UK’s most eminent clinical academic institutions. “I am hugely looking forward to the challenge of building on the success achieved under Ian Balmer’s leadership.”
