Schoolchildren get out more
PUPILS are swapping the classroom for the great outdoors.
A project promoting teaching outside was launched at Moreland Primary School in Finsbury on Tuesday.
Schools are being offered free information packs giving teachers tips on how to use the outdoor world to support the national curriculum.
At Tuesday’s launch, pupils dressed as ladybirds, foxes, crows, butterflies and insects. Moreland headteacher Philip Armstrong said: “It was an exciting project to come into. It helps children to develop an awareness of their impact on the environment locally and globally.”
