Robber lured victim to flat
ARMED police stormed a flat where a man had been threatened with death during a robbery.
The officers burst into the home of David Simmons and arrested him, said Brian Argyle, prosecuting, at the Old Bailey.
Simmons, 38, of Thorpedale Road, Finsbury Park, was jailed for six years by Mr Justice Gross after being found guilty by a jury of robbery and having a replica pistol.
He admitted further offences of possessing drugs, heroin and crack cocaine.
The court heard that he lured a “friend”, Garfield Dockery, to his home and, once inside, produced a fake pistol and pointed it at his head.
Simmons demanded cash and property. He picked up a knife to reinforce his threats.
The victim managed to escape and alert police.
