Plea by burglary squad

POLICE investigating a series of thefts have appealed for a man to come forward.
Detectives want to speak to Neil Edgar, 55, who wears distinctive Harry Potter round-rimmed glasses, about four distraction burglaries in Islington between March 3 and March 13.
Mr Edgar, who is about 5ft 7in tall with blond/grey hair, is usually dressed in smart or casual clothing.
Distraction burglaries involve a thief tricking their way into someone’s home, often posing as a workman or council official, then taking property or cash.
Detective Constable Dawn Bolitho, from Islington Burglary Squad, said: “We are appealing for anyone who knows this man to tell us where he is. Alternatively, if Mr Edgar is innocent and he would like to eliminate himself from our inquiries then I am appealing to him to come forward.”
Anyone with information should call 020 7421 0220/0150 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
