Going the extra 26 miles for kids
HOSPITAL staff stretched the limits of their endurance in the London Marathon to raise £10,000 for Whittington Hospital’s Building for Babies appeal. Gynaecologist Narendra Pisal (pictured above) returned the best time of the six runners from the Archway hospital, coming home in three hours and 54 minutes. The money raised will go towards a new £600,000 neonatal unit, double the size of the current one. Other Whittington runners were Samantha Wilcke, Zuzana Cagalova, Lorraine Turner, Penny Roberts and Abdul Adamu.
A tennis tournament to boost the appeal is being staged on Sunday, May 18, at the Georgians Tennis Club, Crouch End Playing Fields.
