Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 13 June 2008

Our peace shattered

• THE skies above Islington are crackling with aircraft activity of late.
I can’t seem to remember a time when so many planes were circling this area. On a recent morning I noticed that overhead planes going east veered sharply south-west towards Heathrow. Could this be a consequence of new flight paths to Heathrow.
It appears there is increasing congestion of planes waiting to land and some are being diverted in this direction. The morning calm I once cherished has disappeared as quickly as a molecule of oxygen caught in an exhaust plume.
