Festival first
HUNDREDS are expected to attend the first Blackstock Road festival on Sunday.
The event has been organised in the wake of a mass raid by 600 police on 19 premises, including butchers, internet cafés and travel agents, in March.
Islington North MP Jeremy Corbyn said: “I will be there supporting the shopkeepers and trying some Algerian food, not the meat though, because I’m a vegetarian.”
The Festival of the Senses, from noon to 6pm will celebrate the diversity of Blackstock Road. Roads will be closed from Rock Street to 52 Blackstock Road.
