All set for gay history month
ISLINGTON'S Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans History Month kicks off on Monday and is set to feature a guide to the history and geography of London’s “queerest” borough. Highlights will include a gay-themed watercolour exhibition, guided walks discovering the borough’s gay heritage and club nights and a promotion of LGBT fiction in libraries.
This year’s theme is “youth and education” and a number of events will celebrate the work of young LGBT people in the borough including exhibitions by art groups Girl Diva and OutZone.
The LGBT opening event is at 6pm on Monday, February 2, at Central Library, N5.
