It’s a rough ride! Writer launches chemo’ help group

HOLLOWAY children’s writer Judy Cumberbatch is launching Chemoactive, a support group for women going through chemotherapy.
Judy, who is undergoing treatment at Barts hospital
for breast cancer, is looking
for women in similar circumstances.
She said: “Chemotherapy can be a tough time. Normal life seems to be over for the duration. Even with the support of friends and family, you can feel lonely and isolated.
“This will hopefully provide an opportunity to meet up with others in the same boat, go for walks, share a coffee, watch a movie or just have a laugh.”
A devoted cyclist, Judy’s most recent book is Can You Hear the Sea?, set in Africa.
