Excellent homecare
• IT is gratifying to see that the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) has concluded that homecare provided by Islington is “excellent”. For many years, Islington Unison has been saying that the quality of care that Islington services were able to provide was far superior to many agencies that seemed to be the dominant thinking in the council.
Unison was virtually alone in its view that our services were better than these often fly-by-night private sector companies. The most vulnerable people need someone, especially in these hard economic times, they can trust to come in and provide a high standard of care.
