Walking tall: Fab Five set the pace for Town Hall workers
THEY left their shoes on but otherwise followed in the footsteps of the Beatles this week as Islington councillors told residents to “Walk this Way”.
Town Hall cabinet members staged their own version of the Abbey Road cover to promote Walk to Work Week. Councillor Terry Stacy, Lib Dem deputy council leader, said: “We’re encouraging council staff to walk to work. Staff are more likely to get to work on time if they avoid traffic jams and delayed trains. They arrive less stressed and more awake and happy.” |
