Marathon tribute: Runner remembers dad who died from cancer

A VOLUNTEER who works with autistic children in Clerkenwell has taken part in a 26-mile marathon run in memory of her father, who died from cancer two years ago.
Amber Hoppe, 22, remembered her American dad Herb, who died of melanoma, when she completed the Edinburgh marathon on Sunday.
“He was a 61-year-old factory worker and it was really difficult for the family when he died,” said Amber, who is a volunteer with Islington-based National Autistic Society.
She is taking a masters degree course in criminology with a view to joining the American police.
She and her friend, Vanessa Dulka, 22, raised £500 for World Cancer Research Fund.
