Ada celebrates 100th birthday
MEET Ada Palmer – 100 years old and definitely not out.
Family and friends recently joined Mayor of Islington Councillor Anna Berent in a celebration of her life at an Islington council-run home in Mildmay Street.
The great-grandmother, who was born and brought up in Caledonian Road, said there was no special secret to her longevity.
Her son Alan, 68, said: “She’s always been pretty moderate in her life. She’s likes her food and enjoys an occasional glass of Guinness.” |
