Islington Tribune - by JOSH LOEB

Part of the unexplained ‘in-stool-ation’ that has appeared in Archway trees
It’s a mys-tree! Rangers stumped over sprouting chairs

PARK rangers have admitted to being stumped as to why trees in Archway have borne an unlikely fruit – chairs.
The appearance of six multicoloured wooden chairs in trees near Archway station – described as a “local mys-tree” by some – is most likely an “unsolicited art installation” (or “in-stool-ation”?) according Shandrina Burgess, Archway area manager for Islington Council.
“The chairs turned up a few months ago and we are trying to find out who put them there”, she said.
Ms Burgess added
that she was in contact with another council department about removing the chairs – but said this might pose a health and safety risk as it is unclear how well fastened the objects are to the trees.
Artists including Banksy have used the streets of Archway as canvases before but tree art could be an example of them branching out into a whole new medium.
