Flowers to cheer us all
• MAY I congratulate the parks department of the borough for winning a gold certificate in the prestigious London in Bloom competition. Not only did it come top in its category and first in the floral display award but it was the overall winner out of all the boroughs that entered.
In these days of doom and gloom, here is something we should all congratulate and encourage. Even if readers are not gardeners they must surely agree that the floral displays have been fantastic this year and cheered us all up. Thank you to all who made it possible.
