Bus murder accused in court
PSYCHIATRISTS are assessing the mental state of a man accused
of stabbing a passenger to death on a No 43 bus after a row
over food being thrown.
Making his second appearance at the Old Bailey over a prison
video link this week, Anthony Leon Joseph, 21, was not asked
to enter a plea to the charge of murdering Richard Whelan, 28,
of Gaisford Street, Kentish Town, on July 29 last year.
Joseph, 21, of Theseus Walk, Islington, will be in court again
on March 17 when doctors are expected to provide reports.
A provisional trial date was fixed for June 26. |
