Arsenal
could grab it
ARSENAL will have the chance to climb above Tottenham
at least temporarily when Charlton visit Highbury
on Saturday ahead of Spurs 5.15pm kick-off against Birmingham.
Just two points separate the north-London rivals and the Gunners
could welcome back Robin van Persie for the first time since
February 1 as they go for three league wins in a row.
Arsenal have only lost to Charlton twice in the Premiership,
the last time being a 4-2 reversal at Highbury in 2001.
Spurs travel to St Andrews seeking to erase the disappointment
of last Saturdays injury-time defeat and regain momentum
in their battle for European football next season.
Winger Andy Reid could be recalled to the squad providing he
has recovered from a knee injury, while Martin Jol may also
include January signing Hossam Ghaly for the first time.
Spurs are yet to win at St Andrews in the Premiership in three
attempts, although they have only lost once to the Blues since
Steve Bruces sides promotion in 2002. |
