Arsenal
blow chance
FA Premiership Reserve League South
Arsenal 2
Norwich City 2
SPURS may have wrapped up the title, but Arsenal missed the
chance to go second by failing to beat Norwich City at Underhill
on Monday.
Reserve team coach Neil Banfield told the New Journal his team
only deserved a point after the Gunners were caught out twice.
He said: I think it was a fair result. Young players have
peaks and troughs and were in a dip at the moment.
After Andrew Frisk had fired Norwich ahead, Arsenal scored two
in a minute.
In the 27th minute Sebastian Larsson scored with a quickly taken
free kick while Norwich keeper Paul Gallacher was still organising
a wall.
Then Fabrice Muamba scored from Anthony Stokess flick-on.
Nicklas Bendtner saw one header clear the bar, while another
was pushed away by Gallacher.
Norwich claimed thedraw through Rossi Jarvis. |
