MORE than 40 Camden youngsters pounded the streets of
London on Sunday when they competed in the London Mini
Marathon.

Nicky is Harrier's marathon hero
NICKY Martyn was Highgate Harriers hero on Sunday when
he finished the London Marathon in a muscle grinding 48th place
of 35,000 runners.
Martyn was also first veteran home in the gruelling 26.2 mile
race in a time of two hours, 26 minutes. Also under three hours
were Jeremy Rogers (2:41:07); Andrew Collinge (2:44:37); Mark
Sweeney (2:45:06) and Steven Lord (2:58:04).
Jo Carritt was Highgates first woman home in 3:06:37.
First home for London Heathside was Julian Ferraro, who was
342nd in a personal best and club V40 record time of 2:45:06.
Other fast finishes came from Gavin Evans (2:52:35); Martin
Loughnane (2:58:15) and Marcus Tillotson (2:58:50).
Heathsides first woman home was Angela Evans as 162nd
woman (3:09:49).
SANINGO Martyn followed in his fathers footsteps
with a high placed finish in the London Mini Marathon on Sunday.
William Ellis School pupil Saningo was second in the boys
15-17 years 2.65 mile race.
