St. Pancras and Somers Town have a rich past and are host to many historical sights. Restored in the 19th Century, St. Pancras Old Church is one of Britain’s oldest Christian sites. In the Georgian era there was a massive increase in development and the area became heavily industrial, especially with the presence of King’s Cross station and the beautiful neo-gothic landmark of St. Pancras. Aside from architecture, a wealth of other interests are here. Adjacent is the majestic British Library, the national archive, and for outdoors activites, the two acres of green space of Camley Street Natural Park and the Regent’s Canal.
