Our concert was a great success
MANY thanks for the nice feature on Hampstead Chamber Choir’s concert. You will be pleased to know that we had a record audience with Rosslyn Hill Chapel full, and more chairs having to be brought out! And in response the choir produced one of its best-ever concerts.
As you know it was an unusual programme of 16th-century and modern items which needed a bit of selling, and as it turned out we had an audience who appreciated it. Your paper played a part in that and we are very grateful. Further, it showed that a general audience can really warm to well-chosen modern works, one of which was encored – something musical director David Allinson will no doubt bear in mind for the future.
