Loaded with star talent
REVIEW - GET LOADED IN THE PARK
Clapham Common
As the festival season nears its end, one last hurrah is to be sounded in London this weekend.
Get Loaded, which won Best New Festival two years ago, is giving 20,000 people one last reason to shout until they’re giddy and get sunburnt (if all goes well weatherwise).
With one of Camden’s biggest stars, Graham Coxon, and Islington’s most recent contribution to British music, Lily Allen, both performing, this could well be one of the best days in the festival calendar.
But if you’re not mad keen on them, Babyshambles are headlining – which means a Kate Moss sighting is possible (some people care about that, ok) – along with a host of bucking and chomping new bands and a dance tent hosted by the Guilty Pleasures masseev.
Still not convinced? Look at it this way. You don’t have to wake up at the crack of dawn to get there and there’ll be no long coach journeys home as you dread getting up for work on Monday. You’ll be home in time for a bath, a cup of tea and the late movie.
What? Well that’s what I do on a Sunday.
