ADAM SANDLER has become increasingly annoying as his career has progressed. The better known he becomes, the worse his films seen to be.
Click has not bucked this trend, because the jokes still rely partly on bodily functions, as so often is the case with a Sandler vehicle.
Sandler is a contemporary Scrooge, a workaholic architect who ignores his wife and kids. Christopher Walken co-stars and this raises the bar a little – but not too much. Walken takes on the role of Marley’s ghost, and attempts to makes Sandler see the error of his ways.
World Trade Center
NICHLOAS CAGE and Michael Pena are the two port authority officers stuck under the rubble waiting for their rescuers, and they both bring enough gravitas and tension to their roles to make some parts of this film extremely uncomfortable viewing. Oliver Stone directs. |
