The West Wittering Affair
The Everyman has chosen to run this tale of four Londoners struggling to find true love. But perhaps a country break is not the best place, for the painful lives of Jamie, Greg, Natasha and Kath are hopelessly interlinked in some rather unpleasant ways, and this provides much of the laughs for this gently risqué comedy.
The Wizard of Oz
No Christmas would be complete with out a screening of the classic tale of Dorothy’s trip over the rainbow – and now the film, shot in 1939, has been spruced up to make the world of the Lion, Scarecrow, Tinman and wicked witches seem even more glaringly shot in technicolour. Worth treating yourself to a trip to the cinema to watch a film that everyone has a soft spot for. |
