A MASSACRE in the Iraqi city of Haditha is the subject of a harrowing film by director Nick Broomfield – and the Renoir Cinema in Bloomsbury is screening a special preview of it. In November 2005, 24 Iraqis were allegedly shot by four US Marines in retaliation for the death of a Marine killed by a roadside bomb.
Broomfield, the man behind Ghosts, which told the story of the deaths of the Chinese cockle pickers in Morecambe Bay, will be joined by Iraqi writer and anti-war activist Sami Ramadani for a question and answer session after the screening.
The event takes place on Friday, 01 February at 6:30pm, at the Renoir Cinema, Bloomsbury, 0871 703 3991. DAN CARRIER
