• LEADING the vanguard of Livingstone’s “Greening London Theatre”, the Arcola Theatre in Dalston intends to produce the first carbon-neutral, sustainable show when it stages the Living Unknown Soldier this month. A hydrogen fuel cell will power all the lighting for the production – impressive as it is, let’s hope it doesn’t upstage the performance.
• MURIEL Spark’s tale of an independent, opinionated and wholly unconventional Edinburgh schoolteacher gets a stage outing next week courtesy of the Tower Theatre company. The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie (pictured) runs from Feb 12 – 16 at the Theatro Technis.
