CHECK out the double-bill season at the Prince of Wales Cinema. Every Monday night this marvellous little place is showing back-to-back classics for a measly £6. It means you can see Alien: The Director’s Cut for the price of a pint. And if you’ve not had your fill of dangerous intergalactic creatures, Predator follows on. Other films on the bill include next week’s Raising Arizona, followed by the Johnny Depp-vehicle based on Hunter S Thompson’s super book, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. A good opportunity to pour a large Chivas Regale down the throat and kickback to what is a fantastic performance from Depp.
Other delights include the original Godzilla back-to-back with King Kong, Jurassic Park and Jaws, and then Rear Window and Psycho.
The Prince Charles is consistently one of the very best cinemas in London with a leftfield approach to what they screen. Double-bill tickets are £6 for members and £9 non-members, or normal prices for individual films.
