IT promises to be one of the film highlights of the new year, and you can grab a preview screening of the new Daniel Craig film, Defiance, at the Swiss Cottage Odeon the night before it goes on general release.
Directed by Edward Zwick, the film tells the story of three brothers who flee Vilnius in Lithuania and hide out in the forests to fight the Germans. It is based on a true story, brilliantly told by Rich Cohen in a book called The Avengers, about how Lithuanian Jews escaped the ghetto and fought a guerilla war. The screening is in aid of the Anna Freud Centre in Hampstead, which specialises in the mental wellbeing of children.
Defiance is screened on January 8 at 8.15pm, Odeon Swiss Cottage.
