Pick of the Week
I AM now going to let you into a little secret, passed on to me by an old chum who, when it comes to scary movies, knows what’s what. Alex Chandon, the Highgate-based award-winning film director whose films such as Pervirella, Bad Karma, Drillbit, Night Pastor and Borderline have kept me amused for many years, has flagged up a night of wet-your-pants horror shorts at the Shunt Vaults in London Bridge tomorrow night (Friday).
The shows are a series of films featuring mini-mayhem of one degree or another.
• Friday, January 16 at 11pm. The Shunt Vaults, 20, Stainer Street, SE1 – entrance in London Bridge Tube station. 0207 378 7776
• Meanwhile, former William Ellis pupil Julien Temple is presenting his film opera The Eternity Man on January 29 at the Barbican. 0845 120 7527 for tickets.
