THE Camden Crawl is finally here – all you need now is a timetable so you can carefully plan what bands to see when and where.
Naturally, these plans will fall apart after the very first gig when you realise there’s just not enough time to get to the next one and even if you do you’re at the end of a very long queue.
Let’s just hope the weather holds.
My advice is if you really want to see a particular band, get there early and otherwise just surrender to the randomness of it all.
You never know, you might discover an amazing new act or uncover a newfound hatred for skinny-jeaned guitarists.
So here’s the essentials you should pack:
• Pro Plus: this is going to be two long days and you don’t want to flake out after the fifth pint
• Flat shoes: ladies and open-minded gents, the heels might look good, but you’ll be thankful for the flip-flops/gladiator sandals by the 10th time you’ve traipsed up Camden High Street
• Waterproofs: you don’t want to spend the entire weekend sopping wet if the weather turns
• Nu-rave stripey sunglasses: don’t think they work, but they’re great for disguising yourself as part of the Camden crew when the police are after you.
