REVIEW: REVEREND AND THE MAKERS
The Flowerpot / KOKO
TROUBADOUR John McClure landed in Camden under his more familiar guise The Reverend and the Makers. He played Koko on Wednesday, following a free gig at The Flowerpot the day before.
Playing a mixture of classics such as Champion of the World, The Machine and Armchair Detective, the Reverend included a number of songs from new album A French Kiss in Chaos.
After the Koko show, McClure took the party – and his trusty guitar – to the streets bringing Crowndale Road to a standstill. The day before had seen McClure and fans singing in the street against a backdrop of the Omega sauna and massage parlour in Kentish Town Road.
