Solid sound of Steele festival
REVIEW: THE STEELE'S FEST
Sir Richard Steeles' Pub CULT movie actor Helena Bonham-Carter once complained about the noise from her neighbouring pub, Sir Richard Steele. So she and her director husband Tim Burton should be pleased to hear the pub’s first ever festival, The Steele’s Fest, will be entirely acoustic, and indoors.
The Haverstock Hill pub has built up a reputation for welcoming fledgling bands, as well as supporting some of the more mature long-running musicians in town.
This three-day festival, from September 11 to 13, should have something for everyone, from the indie scenester to the folk and country types, as well as a family fun day on the Sunday.
Expect some surprise big names, as well as music from New Adventures, Soy Un Caballo, Dragos Guilt, The Jude, Paul Riley, Mark Nilsson, Runner Brother Duo, Jamie Ley, Thomas J Speight, Zillionaire, Catriona Irving, Spaghetti Anywhere, Zackery Mckracken, Tom Baxendale, Lucy Rose, and Belinda Gillett.
This free festival will feature two stages with performances by new acts, as well as comedians, DJs, family entertainment, and a barbecue.
