£427,000 Porter bill probe
THE investigation into whether the council acted responsibly in clawing back a fraction of Dame Shirley Porter’s missing millions has cost taxpayers £427,000.
Councillor Dimoldenberg has ordered an urgent inquiry into the “massive and unexplained legal costs”.
He said: “I cannot understand how these costs have been worked out given the fact that the District Auditor specifically contained his investigations to whether or not the council followed its independent legal advice.” |
