West End Extra - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Published: 4 May 2007
IT’s a mockery
• I TOO am disgusted by the introduction of the charge for internet access at libraries (Charge is virtual rip-off, April 27).
When you think of the level of library IT service, with computers so restricted you can’t even choose between font sizes and have to settle for jumbo-sized icons as staff haven’t heard of software to enable you to choose desktop appearance, it beggars belief that they can get away with charging.
Handing the running of the IT system to the private sector would be a way of offering a good service to customers. But we’re lumbered with service providers who were trained in the days of DOS 3.3! JO BOXER
