Hospital children find pirates in Majorca
SIX children from Great Ormond Street Hospital got a well-deserved break in Majorca last week.
They were the special guests of honour at the charity premiere of the hit-show Pirates Adventure, which raised more than £80,000 for sick children in the hospital.
Funny-man and radio presenter Danny Baker, actress Patsy Palmer, swimmer Sharron Davies and boxing champ Nigel Ben were among the stars at the event.
Matt Forrest, head of community fundraising at Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, said: “ We’re all incredibly grateful for the hard work that goes into organising this event and cannot thank the people of Majorca enough for being so generous.”
The hospital needs to raise £50 million a year through donations. |
