Steve Stern, left, and David Capri are collaborating once more
REUNITED DUO TOP THE CHARTS

A CHANCE meeting of mothers has led to two musicians reuniting to release a pop single that is currently top of the download charts.
The mothers of former pop duo David Capri and Steve Stern, from Victoria, met in the Royal London Hospital last year.
They swapped numbers and the friends, who had not seen each other since they played with Tom Jones on stage 25 years ago, were soon dusting down their guitars.
They recorded a track called Big Day that last week stormed to top of the MP3 charts.
“It’s kind of like an anthem,” said Mr Capri, who lives in Rochester Row, Victoria. “Everyone’s got a Big Day.”
“It’s great to be back with Steve,” said Mr Capri who split from his buddie Mr Stern to pursue a solo career writing musicals.
He has since sung in Les Miserables, Guys and Dolls, Evita and the Phantom of the Opera. Mr Stern began working in high-roller casinos around the world, before settling in Spain.
Mr Capri added: “It’s amazing how our mothers met after all this time. They hadn’t seen each other for ages. In a hospital of all places? It shows you can bump into anybody.”
