Pink Rock! Gay and Lesbian choir set to perform pop hits at concert
THE oldest and best-known lesbian and gay choir in Europe returns to Dukes Hall at the Royal Academy of Music tomorrow (Saturday).
The Pink Singers will showcase their range of musical styles.
They boast a broad spectrum – singing everything from Blur favourite Girls and Boys, through to Love Song for a Vampire with This Woman’s Work.
The Pinkies welcome Yorkshire lesbian acappella group Deep C Divas, Gay Cabaret Act Something Fishy and unique camp pop band Paleday.
Deep C Divas has eight members and have appeared at several international festivals bringing glamour, glitter and firm feminist principles to venues as diverse as Parisian bandstands and the Sydney Opera House.
Their repertoire includes everything from traditional folk songs to Chaka Khan.
Doors open at 7pm and the concert starts at 7.30pm. |
