Time for dancing in the street

THE fourth annual Marylebone Village Summer Fayre returns on Sunday.
From 11am until 5pm the main streets of Marylebone will be closed to traffic to host this summer event.
Whether it’s live music in Paddington Gardens with the Bedford Bandstand, climbing in the Activity Zone, fashion and Beauty with Salsa in New Cavendish Street, Live Jive in Devonshire Street, feasting your eyes on fashion or your tummies with food in Marylebone Lane, there’s something for everyone.
Treat yourself to a picnic at Conran, or enjoy a choice of BBQs at The Orrery, Le Pain Quotidien, Eat & 2 Veg, Paul UK, The Natural Kitchen, and savour the seasonal offerings from both the Farmers’ Market and the Cabbages and Frocks Market.
There is also an opportunity to learn about Battersea Dogs Home, The Rotary Club, The Kabballah Centre, The Police and Safer Neighbourhood Scheme, The Marylebone Association, Wedge Card, Ki Health, Buddhism, The London Clinic and the Marylebone Journal to name but a few. Many of the shops and cafés will be offering special summer fayre promotions, so keep your eyes peeled.
With the support and participation local shops, restaurants, residents, schools and sponsors, the Fayre continues to go from strength to strength, making it an enjoyable day in Central London.
This is a direct result of the imagination, creativity and generosity of all involved. Because of this spirit of goodwill, the day is also a day to make a positive difference to someone. You will see many promotions and activities as you wander through the Fayre, raising awareness and funds for Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT).
The Trust helps teenagers and young adults with cancer, leukaemia, Hodgkin’s and related diseases by providing specialist teenage units in NHS hospitals – the nearest is at University College London Hospital.
There is also a £5 Prize Draw to win a Vespa Piaggio LX50, sponsored by Druce & Co. Competitors must be a minimum age of 16 years. Every penny goes to TCT and you could be the envy of your friends if you have bought the Winning Vespa Piaggio Ticket.
