The event, called by a global network of Harry Potter fans, called Sectus, transformed the college’s New Cavendish campus, Marylebone, into their very own Hogwarts.
Professors dressed as wizards and warlocks spoke to a capacity crowd in the university’s lecture hall. Topics included:

• Where do we go from here?
Rowling’s fictional sport Quidditch, played on flying-broomsticks in the Harry Potter series, was recreated in Regent’s Park and there were lessons in costuming, tarot reading and potion making.
A shipment of books was delivered to the campus at midnight by Marylebone Books and fans read through the night to discover the fates of Harry, Hermione and Ron Weasley. |
