Babies and toddlers get set to wiggle, giggle, bounce and rhyme
A SUMMER schedule of children’s activities is planned for Charing Cross Library.
The West End Children’s Centre is holding a series of sessions aiming to boost communications skills.
The sessions are also a good way to meet other families and find out more about the area.
Anyone aged from nine months to five years can take part in the Wiggle and Jiggle scheme, which includes music, action songs, rhymes, stories and games. Babies under one year can join the Bounce and Rhyme session where there will be knee-bouncing, games, and suitable toys.
Pimlico parent and cabinet councillor Sarah Richardson said: “This is a great way for Westminster parents to help their children develop language skills. As a mother of a baby who attends the Bounce and Rhyme activities held at Pimlico Library, I highly recommend these sessions.”
The Children’s Centre and Westminster Libraries hope that this will become a valuable service for families.
