Unique dancers’ title
DANCERS from a Bayswater Primary School have trounced the opposition in a London-wide competition.
Pupils of Hallfield Junior in Gloucester Terrace won the celebrated Culture and Arts Dance Challenge at Wembley Stadium.
The dancers, aged from nine to 11, formed an urban dance collective called Unique. They performed their routine for a selection of professional dancers and choreographers at the national competition and won over the audience and panel to scoop first prize.
Headteacher Judith Grigg said: “They worked continuously hard and gave 100 per cent commitment throughout. When the results were announced, there was not a dry eye in sight. They are a very talented young group of children.” |
