Spongebob and Dora are the centre of attention in Soho |
The night poor old spongebob got stuck in the lift
CHILDREN’S television cartoon characters SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora The Explorer were guests of honour at the Century Club in Soho on Monday night.
The popular fictional characters were at the Shaftesbury Avenue venue to launch the first Kids Choice Awards.
Sponsored by television company Nickelodeon, last year’s Kids’ Choice Awards in America saw Justin Timberlake and Nicole Kidman get “slimed”.
And organisers say the celebrity A list attending the UK Awards, on October 20, at London’s ExCel centre in Docklands, will suffer similar humiliation.
A spokesman said: “The giant SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora The Explorer were the guests of honour on the night, but poor old SpongeBob got stuck in the lift as he made his way up to the top floor, open air, venue.” |
