Indian festival set for warm welcome
AUGUST may been a total washout this year but planners of the Regent Street festival are promising an Indian summer in September.
The annual party, which closes Regent Street to traffic, includes a Bollywood movie scene, with a cast of stunning models, dancers, musicians, a white Asian wedding horse and a palm tree beach.
All the flair, colour and magic of India will be there, say organisers.
The Regent Street Festival is on Sunday, September 2 from midday until 8pm.
It is the climax of the Mayor of London’s three-month India Now season, which has seen over 200 cultural organisations and attractions participate across central London. |
