Regent festival looks to India
REGENT Street will be closed on Sunday for its annual festival.
Last year’s Spanish-themed event drew record crowds and organisers hope this year’s Indian showcase will be even better.
All the flair of India comes to the West End from midday until 8pm.
Mayor Ken Livingstone said: “The Regent Street Festival is a highlight of London’s calendar of summer events, this year made even more special as it celebrates the colour and excitement of modern India. “This year’s Indian-themed Regent Street Festival captures London’s growing relationship with India.”
The Regent Street Festival is organised by the Regent Street Association and supported by the Indian ministry of tourism – Incredible India, Visit London, The Crown Estate, Westminster Council and the New West End Company. |
