‘Loo’vre’ to open for public use
A STATE-of-the-art toilet with a twist is to be opened in Soho today (Friday).
As well as being a fully functional lavatory, the St Anne’s Gardens installation doubles as an art gallery.
Dubbed ‘the Loo’vre’ it features the photography of award-winning artist Elaine Duigenan.
She said: “The site is steeped in history, and it’s great to know that my art will be displayed in the heart of the community.”
The loo will be kept locked, with keys held by Soho Parish School, Soho Family Centre, the Charing Cross Nursery and Holcroft Nursery. |
