Jail for sex calls pest
A JOBLESS sex pest was jailed for a year for plaguing women in Westminster with his twisted phone fantasies.
Badredean Barbar, 25, from Salusbury Road, Paddington, admitted one charge of public nuisance in connection with thousands of sexually explicit telephone calls made to women across the country.
On Friday Southwark Crown Court. The court heard he went to public buildings, sports centres, and recruitment agencies in Westminster, noting the appearance of receptionists.
He then telephoned in, asking for them by name, and describing, in lurid terms, their clothing and appearance to make them think they were being stalked.
He waged a prolonged campaign of harassment against women involving more than 1,200 calls between November 2006 and August 2007.
Barbar would often make sexually explicit comments directed at his victims.
He was arrested by police officers from the beat crimes unit at Paddington and his mobile telephone was seized.
