Trafalgar Square poussin
• IF Julia Fletcher and her Pigeon Action Group were advocating we have Poussin and Poulet de Bresse and Norfolk Turkeys strutting Trafalgar Square and the streets and parks of London then her campaign might look a tad more appealing. But dirty mangy pigeons? Isn’t there something rather weird about a person who puts dead pigeons in a freezer? (Dead pigeons on ice ‘to shame mayor Ken’, September 28).
Are we to assume she and her fellow pigeon fanciers do not eat Roast Chicken on Sundays, Turkey at Christmas, duck in Chinatown or sneak in to McDonald’s for the occasional chicken nugget?
And if they don’t
isn’t that fowl discrimination? MALCOLM RASALA
